At LumiNode AI, we are looking for a talented and capable Senior Data Engineer who, in collaboration with the team, can take ownership of a data pipeline built for speed. You will have already have worked with frameworks for distributed computing and integration, and it is you ambition to master the full stack of tools needed to process volumes of data fast.

Our ideal candidate is passionate about technology, can make things work in practice, and is eager to apply a variety of skills, including in-memory parallelized computing. You prefer CLI over GUI, and configuring a new tool is not be a big deal to you.

Our technology is in development and we need you to be prepared to take on a challenge. This will sometimes mean going back to the drawing board and re-thinking an approach. We are excited about the fact that no one has done what we are doing, and that we don't really know what works until we have tried it out.

Take ownership of our infrastructure, hosted by a cloud service provider. If you have a preferred provider or tool, we will take that into account when we set up our solutions.


Technical MSc or BSc. Extensive experience can compensate for lack of formal training.

0 - 5 years of experience as a data engineer, business intelligence- or integration developer. Basically, experience working with data in movement.

You know how to work with databases and you are familiar with in-memory distributed computing tools such as Apache Spark (and/or Google Dataproc).

Proficient in languages such as Python, Scala or similar. SQL experience is an advantage.

You will need to be comfortable around large volumes of data in motion and configure systems that can process data fast. We consider student projects and self-taught skills to be relevant.

Seniority Level

Entry level or Associate, depending on your prior experience. We will consider graduate applicants. The role may quickly lead to a management position.

Employment Type

Full-time in Oslo or Stavanger. Alternative location can be discussed.
